Horse’s name and Breed: I have been given the amazing Cheeky2opportunity to ride my cowgirl sister Katie’s beautiful overo paint mare Cheeky!

What Does Being a Canadian Cowgirl Mean To You: Being a Canadian Cowgirl means a lot to me because I get to share my love for this country and horses with others! I get to make great memories with my cowgirl sisters and I get to travel to places I have never been before! There are no words to explain the feeling of entering an arena with the team and showing our pride carrying the flag while doing what we love to do!

Describe how you felt the 1st time you did a live performance with the Cowgirls: My first live performance was in Pennsylvania at the World Horse Expo. I was so excited and nervous I felt like I was going to pee my pants! Later that night, we shared in our horse’s voice their experience that weekend to Guy McLean and his wife. We sure had a good laugh about it! Haha

Most Memorable Experience While On The Team: The most memorable experience I have so far since becoming a Canadian Cowgirl is having the opportunity to ride at Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio! I remember when I was younger I would go to Equine Affaire as a spectator and now I have the opportunity to be part of the performances and perform in front of hundreds of people. It is a surreal feeling that cannot be put into words.

A Tidbit about Yourself: I am a nursing student that will be graduating in 2016 and I own a Percheron cross gelding named Tucker!

With hard work, many hours spent practicing, dedication, and passion, any dream can be achieved! I am so happy to be part of a team with talented ladies around me to support and encourage me through anything. I am so excited and I look forward to all of the great experiences ahead of me as a Canadian Cowgirl!
